KIKA Clinical Solutions

Corporate Snapshot

KIKA Clinical Solutions ("KIKA" or "the Company") is a closely held technology company providing asset management solutions for clinical research. KIKA operates in a new dimension of trial management, where clinical studies and registries are being conducted electronically, which can be more time and cost efficient than existing paper processes. KIKA markets an electronic data capture (EDC) system called Veracity primarily using a Software as a Service (SaaS) business model. Veracity is a feature-rich, Web-based software platform supported by an IT infrastructure to provide reliable and secure database hosting. Veracity uses patent-pending technology to meet the growing demands of entities using EDC. KIKA does not believe that platforms developed 10 years ago are still capable of providing the integration and interoperability that efficient clinical trial execution requires. One of the Company's chief competitive advantages is the asset integration capability built into Veracity. KIKA works to facilitate streamlined, comprehensive data collection and reporting by integrating all trial data—including medical images (e.g., X-rays, EKGs, ultrasounds), laboratory data, adverse events, and many other types of information—into a relevant and useful patient record powered by Veracity. To KIKA's knowledge, few companies offer a product that can integrate medical images and any other type of file directly into the electronic case report form (eCRF). Veracity also offers online adjudication, where third-party experts can access patient data, including functioning images, on a remote Web portal and then confer and provide feedback to the study sponsor via Veracity. Conventional, paper-based trials and competitors that do not offer complex workflow capabilities typically require that adjudicators travel to a common location in order to be presented with the data and offer a decision. KIKA's clinical asset management solution is designed to be intuitive, user friendly, and configurable so clients can access a platform designed around their trial's unique needs, allowing users to view and filter data on demand and generate a wide array of data reports. KIKA's software is also interoperable with third-party technologies, compliant with regulatory and industry standards, and complete with advanced data management tools targeted for each of the stakeholders in the clinical trial process. Founded in 1997, KIKA employs almost 60 individuals with offices in the U.S. and France, and provides a professional multilingual Support Center 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Company is International Organization for Standardization (ISO)-certified.
